Dr. Nadine Gaab, an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, is seeking infants, ages 2 to 8 months, for an important new study investigating the causes of dyslexia. The study will take place at Boston Children’s Hospital.

The study is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and will be the first longitudinal infant dyslexia study using MRI in the world. (Longitudinal studies gather data over a period of time.) The research team will be tracking children’s brains, language, and reading development over a 5-year period, from infancy to elementary school. They will enroll infants with and without a family risk of developmental dyslexia. The goal of the study is to research the underlying causes of dyslexia and to investigate early behavioral and brain markers.
