YAA Honorable Mention winner named Olympic Trampoline Team Alternate

Logan Dooley of Lake Forest, California, a 2005 Smart Kids with LD Youth Achievement Award Honorable Mention winner, was named the Alternate for the U.S. Olympic Men’s Trampoline Team on July 1st in Kansas City, MO.

Logan will join teammate Chris Estrada to represent the U.S. in the Olympic Games in Beijing. This is the first time the U.S. men’s team has qualified for this event, requiring ten complex aerial maneuvers performed in succession, soaring 25 feet above a 7 x 14-foot trampoline.

Logan, 20, has interrupted his studies to participate in the rigorous training required for the Olympics, working seven hours a day, six days a week for many months with the U.S. Trampoline Team.
