About Smart Kids With Learning Disabilities

Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the parents of children with learning disabilities (LD) and attention-deficit disorder (ADHD). Since May of 2000, we have provided action-oriented information via our unique newsletter, website, and educational programs — information that can help you become a successful advocate for your child.

The eight issues of the Smart Kids newsletter published each year provide concise, accessible, authoritative information from experts, practical advice and support from other parents, and inspiration in profiles of high-achieving adults with LD and ADHD.

Smart Kids also affirms and celebrates the talents and achievements of young people with LD and ADHD, by sponsoring the annual Smart Kids Youth Achievement Award. Winners are selected, on the basis of their outstanding accomplishment or service to others, from among candidates nominated by the public each year.

Our Mission:

To educate, guide and inspire families of children with learning disabilities or ADHD -- and to change the perception of learning disabilities as a stigmatizing condition.
