Lisa Rappaport, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of
Pediatrics,
Albert Einstein College of
Medicine
The day the dean of the competitive private school she attended called her “stupid” was the day that Lisa Rappaport decided on her future — she would become an advocate for children struggling with dyslexia, like herself.
Today Dr. Rappaport is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a specialist in neuropsychological disorders, with a practice dedicated to counseling, testing and remediating children and adults with learning disabilities, ADHD and developmental delays. She is also a member of Smart Kids’ Professional Advisory Board.
Her advice: “Recognize that children with learning disabilities simply learn differently, and give them the power to learn their way.”
