Smart Kids Privacy Statement

Smart Kids with LD, Inc. is committed to the following policy:

We do not willingly divulge SmartKidsWithLD.org visitors' personal information except strictly as needed to process credit-card transactions. We do use such information internally to maintain membership lists and to focus the content of our newsletter.

If you enter into a credit-card transaction with us, your name, address, card number, and type of purchase will be shared by us only as required to effect the monetary transfer or as required by law.

If you e-mail us with comments or questions, we may publish your message on SmartKidsWithLD.org, but we will not publish any information that identifies you individually unless we receive your explicit permission to do so.

SmartKidsWithLD.org compiles the following visitor-related information for internal use only:

  1. The Internet Provider [IP] numbers used by visitors. Your IP is a number assigned by your Internet Service Provider. It enables your computer to connect successfully to the Internet. We tabulate IPs only to help us estimate the number of different computers accessing our site. We cannot use IPs to identify individuals or households.

  2. The makes and versions of Internet browsers and computer platforms used by visitors. This information is used only to ensure that the Smart Kids site is optimized for all popular makes and versions of browser/computer and that our site will remain accessible to visitors with disabilities.

  3. The Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) of referring web sites. These Internet addresses are used solely to identify sites — particularly search-engine and directory sites — that link directly to smartkidswithld.org.

SmartKidsWithLD.org may place coded reminders, or "cookies," on visitors' browsers. This is done for two reasons: 1) to help make web pages more convenient for each visitor to read; and 2) to aid us in understanding site-usage patterns (cookies help differentiate between repeat and first-time visitors). The cookies do not reveal physical addresses, email addresses, names, telephone numbers, or any other indicators of visitors' personal identities. SmartKidsWithLD.org does not use cookies to track visitors across other domains.

SmartKidsWithLD.org does not covertly capture from visitors' computer memory any information not specifically itemized in the preceding paragraphs.

SmartKidsWithLD.org may pass information to Google.com solely to track the effectiveness of advertisements placed at Google and its affiliates. It is transmitted only if you sign up for membership in Smart Kids within 30 days of clicking on a Smart Kids with LD advertisement at a Google-affiliated search engine/directory listings page. No personal information — not your home address, not your email address, not your surfing history, and certainly not your credit card information — is sent to Google.com. All that is transmitted is the fact that an unidentified individual who previously clicked on a Smart Kids ad has subsequently signed up as a Smart Kids member. The transmission occurs automatically, and every transmission carries only one identification number, a non-varying number tied to this site and not to any individual visitor. The transmission is at no point integrated with Smart Kids membership files. It does not and cannot in any way include membership data compiled by Smart Kids with LD, LLC. You may disable the transmission by disabling cookies in your browser at the time you sign up for membership.

Your privacy while on our site is extremely important to us.
