A non-profit organization based on the work of Dr. Mel Levine. Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) Check the CHADD web site for regional CHADD support groups. Coordinated Campaign for Learning Disabilities (CCLD) A consortium of six non-profit organizations working on behalf of the learning disabled. Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Division for Learning Disabilities (DLD) Information on IDEA, public policy issues, discussion forums, and an Information Center on disabilities and gifted education. Family Center on Technology and Disability A range of resources on assistive technology, including searchable databases, funded by the U.S. Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) Florida Center for Reading Research The activities center of this comprehensive resource on reading research lists learning games that parents as well as teachers can use to help children learn to read. International Dyslexia Association (IDA) The national organization and regional chapters offer conferences, publications, information, etc. on dyslexia (a reading or language-learning disability). LD Online The major LD website offering a wealth of detailed information on virtually any topic in the field of learning disabilities Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) National and regional conferences, parent assistance services, booklists and publications, etc. Membership in the national LDA includes enrollment in the state chapter (see the web site for state chapter listings). National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) Promotes increased public awareness and understanding and works to shape public policy to increase opportunities for all individuals with learning disabilities The National Attention Deficit Disorder Association (ADDA) Information on attention deficit disorders including articles by experts, and a guide to finding support groups National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) Information on disabilities and disability-related issues NLDline Developed to increase awareness of nonverbal learning disorders.
