Pre-K
Developing pre-literacy skills is important for all children. For children with learning disabilities, the first signs of difficulty may appear at this stage. Although an accurate diagnosis may not take place until your child is older, knowing what to look for now can help determine success in school even before his or her formal education begins.
A red flag at this stage may be a warning sign of potential reading problems later on. At the very least it’s a valuable reminder to monitor your child’s literacy development closely, which will enable you to intervene early if necessary.
